Log cabin Schwibbogen in wood with LED fairy lights

It gets dark early outside. Indoors, you want it to finally look like Christmas – but the windowsill still looks empty. That's exactly where the log cabin light arch belongs. It's a wooden Schwibbogen with LED fairy lights that brings a warm, calm light to your window in the evening. With its log cabin, animals and trees, it looks made for your windowsill. And the view of your home from outside instantly becomes a little more inviting.

What changes for you

• Your window glows with Christmas light every evening, without much decorating on your part. The LED fairy lights with power adapter are already included.
• You can also stand the Schwibbogen freely in the room, for example on a sideboard or shelf. It's engraved on both sides, so it looks good from either side.
• Your guests keep spotting new details. That's thanks to the finely lasered scene with a log cabin, animals and trees.
• You bring a piece of real handcraft into your home. It's made from birch plywood in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck.

Why this light arch makes a difference every day

During Advent, it's the small sources of light that change a room. As soon as the light arch is switched on, the room is bathed in soft light. Whether you're baking Christmas biscuits, reading aloud or simply getting home after a long day. Instead of garish decorations, the Schwibbogen shows finely cut wooden silhouettes with warm white LED lights. They glow throughout the Christmas season.

Material & finish

The Schwibbogen is made from birch plywood. All cuts and engravings are lasered. This gives fine contours and a clean finish. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in lightness, has its own grain and may show small knots. This isn't a flaw. It makes every piece one of a kind – no two light arches are the same. It is handmade in Germany.

Good to know about the Schwibbogen

The Schwibbogen comes from the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) and goes back to the mining tradition. Its arch of lights stood for the miners' longing for daylight, which they hardly saw in winter. That's why it is still one of the classic Christmas window decorations today. And it links your home to a custom that has brought light into the dark season for generations.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough. Keep the wood away from water and constant damp. Then your light arch will keep its shape for many Christmases to come.
