Everyone is about to sit down. The bread is sliced and the cheese is waiting. Now you need a board you can cut on and serve from straight away. That is exactly what this chapel-shaped beech chopping board is made for. The curved shape looks inviting on a laid table. The groove around the edge catches juice before it reaches the tablecloth. So a simple wooden board becomes the one you reach for again and again.

What changes for you

  • You can cut juicy fruit, vegetables or meat without anything running onto the table. The juice groove reliably catches the liquid.
  • Your buffet looks lovingly presented. On the chapel-shaped board you can lay out several cheeses clearly and cut them right at the table.
  • You don't need five different boards. It works as a breakfast board, pastry board, ham board, cheese board or serving board and takes on lots of jobs in your kitchen.
  • You work on a light, smooth surface of real beech wood. It feels pleasant in the hand and stands up to daily use.
  • You'll find the right format for every purpose. The board comes in three sizes, from a small breakfast board to a large carving board.

Why this beech chopping board makes a difference every day

A wooden chopping board feels different in the hand from plastic: warm, steady, natural. After cutting, simply put it on the table as a serving board. You save yourself moving food onto plates. And the table looks properly laid straight away, without much decorating. Light beech suits almost any crockery and table linen.

Material & finish

The board is made of real beech wood. Depending on availability, it is supplied as glued laminated wood or solid wood. Both are cleanly finished, with a smooth surface that shows the wood grain and is easy to clean. It is made in the EU. Wood is a purely natural material, so every board turns out a little different. Some are lighter, some darker, each with its own grain and occasionally small knots. This is not a flaw. It makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use your cutting board

  • At Sunday breakfast: everyone gets their roll on a board. The table looks uniform and inviting.
  • For a cold supper in the evening: arrange ham, cheese and bread right on the beech board and put it in the middle of the table. Your cosy get-together is ready, with no extra platters.
  • When carving a roast: the meat juices collect in the groove instead of on the worktop. You serve more calmly and wipe up less.
  • In a café or bakery: you can serve cake, sandwiches or a small cheese platter straight on the wooden board. No extra effort when plating up.
  • At a buffet or for catering: several boards in different sizes bring structure to the table. Guests can cut cheese or cold meats right where they stand.

Good to know about beechwood

For generations, beech has been the classic kitchen wood. It is hard and fine-pored, so it holds up to daily cutting for a long time. That is why beech boards have always been found in bakeries, inns and home kitchens. With this board, you bring that tradition to your table.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. After use, simply wipe the board with a damp cloth and let it dry. It doesn't belong in the dishwasher. That way the beech wood keeps its shape and its light, smooth surface for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can the board go in the dishwasher? No. Clean the beech board with a damp cloth only. That way the wood won't warp and will look good for a long time.

Will I get glued laminated wood or solid wood? That depends on current availability. Both versions are made of real beech wood and are cleanly finished.

Does every board look the same? No. Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from board to board. That is what makes yours unique.

Can I cut and serve food on it? Yes, that is exactly what it is for. You can cut fruit, vegetables and meat on it. You can also lay out cheese, ham and bread.

What you get is a board with a groove. What you use it for is the moment you put the food in the middle of the table. Everyone helps themselves – and you simply sit down with them. Choose the size that suits your table at Bütic.
