The heating season is starting. Over the summer, a grey layer of dust has built up between the fins of your radiator. You simply can't reach it with a cloth or a vacuum cleaner. A fork-shaped or L-shaped radiator brush is made for exactly these narrow gaps. It is slim and long, with the right bristles for your surfaces. Cleaning flat, sectional, column and panel radiators then takes just a few minutes. And the air in the room stays noticeably fresher.

What changes for you

  • You can finally reach the gaps where cloths and vacuums fail. The slim fork or L-shape slides deep between the radiator sections.
  • You no longer need to move furniture to clean behind it. The long, narrow brush picks up dust behind cupboards, where it would otherwise stay.
  • You can clean delicate surfaces without scratches. The light-coloured horsehair brushes are soft and supple.
  • The dust ends up in the brush instead of in the air. The blue, split synthetic bristles reliably trap it during dry cleaning.
  • You can wipe dry or damp and simply wash the cover afterwards. The microfibre brush cover is removable and washable at 60 °C.

Why this radiator brush makes a difference every day

You don't always see dusty radiators straight away. But you notice them when the heating comes on and the room smells musty. With the right brush to hand, a task you keep putting off becomes a quick wipe in between. Your home looks better cared for and the air stays more pleasant. And you get the good feeling of having the hidden corners under control, too.

Material & finish

Depending on the model, the brush is made of plastic, wire and microfibre or light-coloured horsehair. The horsehair is soft and supple, so painted or delicate surfaces stay undamaged. The split synthetic bristles are designed for dust-trapping dry cleaning. The fine microfibre picks up dust both dry and damp. The careful workmanship – made in Germany – means the brush will last for many heating seasons.

How to use the radiator brush

  • Before the heating season: run the brush once through all the fins of your sectional radiator. When you first turn the heating on, there's no typical dusty smell.
  • During the spring clean: reach behind cupboards and under the chest of drawers with the long, flexible brush. The dust is gone without you moving a single piece of furniture.
  • Wipe over damp with the microfibre brush: even stubborn dirt on the panel radiator comes off. Afterwards, the cover simply goes into the washing machine.
  • For deep containers and vases: the slim shape reaches right to the bottom. Even where no hand can reach.
  • In the café, office or guest room: guests do notice radiators. With the brush, you keep them clean with little effort and your rooms look tidy.

Good to know about cleaning radiators

Dust on and inside the radiator acts like an insulating layer and can reduce heat output. On top of that, the rising warm air spreads the particles around the room. So regular brushing before and during the heating season pays off twice. You get a more pleasant indoor climate. And the heat reaches the places where you need it.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. With the microfibre brush, you simply remove the cover and wash it at 60 °C. That way it's always fresh and ready to use. Give the bristle brushes a quick tap after use. This keeps them free of dust and helps them hold their shape for a long time.
