Why this wooden cutting board makes a difference every day

An engraved wooden cutting board is more than something to cut on. It tells a story. At breakfast, at an evening snack or as a wall sign in the kitchen, it brings warmth and a little feeling of home into the room. Instead of random decorations, you have something with a story behind it. And you can use it every day.

Material & finish

The board is made from maple. This light wood has a fine, calm grain that makes the dark brown engraving stand out clearly. The surface is smooth and neatly finished. So the board feels good in your hand and stays looking good for a long time. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material, so every board turns out a little different. Varying shades, small knots and individual grain are not flaws. They make each piece one of a kind.

Good to know about German state anthems and folk songs

Many state anthems and folk songs date from the 19th century. They have been sung for generations at festivals, at the table and in local clubs. The miners' song “Glück auf”, for example, has been part of mining tradition for centuries. That's exactly why the engraved board makes such a good gift for people who feel connected to their home region. Whether they live there or miss it from afar.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Simply wipe the board with a damp cloth after use. It doesn't belong in the dishwasher. That way the wood and engraving stay looking good, and the board will be with you for many years.
