Material & finish

The board is made of maple. It's a light wood with a smooth, finely textured surface that feels firm and dense. The engraving is in a darker brown. This makes it stand out clearly and legibly against the light wood. The neat finish comes from our own Bütic production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material, so every board turns out slightly differently. Variations in shade, small irregularities in the grain or tiny knots are normal. They make your board one of a kind and are not a defect.

Care & durability

Frequently asked questions

Can the board go in the dishwasher? No. Only clean it with a damp cloth. That way the wood and the engraving last a long time.

What language are the designs in? The BBQ, country and kitchen designs are engraved in English. A few, such as “Grillmeister”, are in German.

Does every board look the same? No. Maple is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary, so every board is one of a kind.

Does the board have a juice groove? Yes. All sizes have a juice groove all the way round with a collecting well. It catches the juices that run out when you carve.

Where is the board made? In our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
