Outside it gets dark early. Inside you're laying the table – and a little light is still missing. That's where this wooden tea light holder comes in. It's a simple round column made of beech. It raises a tea light to a pleasant height and brings warm light into your evening. Left natural or painted by you, it looks as if it were made for your Advent table. And you can still use it all year round.

What changes for you

  • Your table instantly feels more homely without much decorating. The light wooden column with a tea light speaks for itself.
  • You can design the holder just the way you like. The untreated beech wood can be painted, varnished or oiled.
  • Your tea light stands securely, even when there's a lot going on at the table. That's thanks to the sturdy column shape, which keeps its form.
  • Your decoration suits every season. Use it as wooden Christmas decoration during Advent or as a calm table decoration in summer.
  • Every piece you hold is one of a kind. The natural grain is different on each holder.

Why this tealight holder makes a difference every day

On its own, a tea light easily gets lost on the table. On the small wooden column, it gets a fixed place and stands out. The light beech wood brings calm and a natural feel to the room. It fits in with almost any interior style. A simple tea light becomes a small, cosy moment that takes no effort at all.

Material & finish

The column is made of beech, a hardwood that is naturally firm and keeps its shape. So your tea light stands securely. The surface is light, smooth and neatly finished. It feels pleasant to the touch. Because the wood is untreated, it takes paint, varnish or oil well. Wood is a purely natural material. Each piece varies in shade and shows its own grain. It may also have small knots or irregularities. This makes every holder unique – it is not a defect. The tea light holder is made in the EU. At Bütic you'll find it in a height of 8 cm.

How to use the tealight holder

  • On the Advent table: Place four columns with tea lights side by side. That gives you a simple alternative to the classic Advent wreath.
  • At dinner: Put a tea light on the wooden column in the middle of the table. An ordinary Tuesday turns into a cosy evening.
  • For crafting and painting: Decorate the untreated holder with paint or oil. You get a Christmas decoration that exists only once. It's also a nice project to do with children.
  • In a café or restaurant: One holder per table. You get warm light and light beech wood on every table. It's quick to set up and quick to clear away.
  • On the windowsill: Line up several columns in a row. Your window glows invitingly outwards during the dark season.

Good to know about beech wood

Beech is one of the hardest native deciduous woods. It has always been used where wood has to withstand a lot. This strength benefits the tea light holder. The column keeps its shape and will be with you for many Advent and everyday evenings.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe it dry or with a slightly damp cloth – that's enough. As the wood is untreated, avoid prolonged moisture. If you like, oil or varnish the surface to make it more resistant. That way the holder keeps its light, smooth look for a long time.
