Good to know about tealights

The tea light gets its name from the teapot warmer. Originally, the little candle kept the teapot warm there. The standard cup size of 38 mm has since caught on everywhere. That's why these figure tea lights fit standard tea light holders too. They also stand just as well on their own on a plate or table.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Store them in a cool, dry place. Keep them away from direct sunlight and heat sources so the wax keeps its shape. Wipe off dust with a soft, dry cloth – that's it. When you light the tea lights, the same rules apply as for any candle. Never leave them burning unattended. Place them on a fireproof surface. Keep them away from anything flammable and avoid draughts. Due to their design, figure candles burn down unevenly. Put the flame out in good time. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Does one set contain all four designs? No – each set of 6 contains six tea lights of the same design. If you'd like a mix, simply order several variants.

Can I really light the tea lights? Yes, they are real tea lights with a wick. Please note that figure candles burn down unevenly. That's why many people mainly use them as decoration.

Do the tea lights fit standard tea light holders? Yes, the aluminium cup has the standard tea light diameter of 38 mm. Because of the figure on top, open, flat holders or plates work better than narrow glasses.

Are the tea lights suitable as a gift? Yes – the set is easy to split up. It works as a small present, on the St Nicholas plate or in the Advent calendar.

Do all the tea lights look exactly the same? Small variations in colour and shape are normal for figure candles and are not a defect.
