The tarte flambée comes out of the oven steaming hot. Your guests are already at the table. Now you need something that can take that size. This 40 cm beech pizza plate is made for exactly that. You simply lift the tray bake onto it. You cut it right on the wood and serve it in the middle of the table. A quick dinner becomes a moment where everyone tucks in.

What changes for you

  • You serve pizza, tarte flambée and onion tart straight from the board. Each plate also works as a chopping board, so you can portion the food right on it.
  • Your table looks more inviting straight away, with no extra decorating. The light beech surface with its visible grain brings warmth to the table.
  • You have enough room even for large oven dishes. With a 40 cm diameter, even a wide tarte flambée fits on it completely.
  • You can cut firmly without anything warping. The edge-glued beech wood is 2 cm thick and keeps its shape very well.
  • You choose the look that suits your table: Classic with a straight edge or Modern with a bevelled edge.

Why this pizza plate makes a difference every day

A plate made of real wood changes the mood at the table. The food doesn't sit on cold crockery. It sits on a warm natural material that invites you to dig in. You don't have to move it onto individual plates. You cut it straight away and serve it where people eat. So your pizza night quietly becomes a shared ritual. That works at home just as well as on a buffet or at the counter.

Material & finish

The tarte flambée plate is made of edge-glued beech wood. This construction makes it sturdy, hard-wearing and stable in shape, even with frequent use. The surface is light, smooth and neatly finished. It feels pleasant to the touch and is easy to wipe clean. Wood is a purely natural material. Every plate has its own grain, different shades and occasionally small knots. This is not a flaw. It makes every piece one of a kind. The plate is made in the EU.

How to use your pizza plate

  • For a pizza night with friends: the pizza goes straight from the oven onto the wood. You cut it into slices, and everyone helps themselves from the middle of the table.
  • For tarte flambée or onion tart in autumn: the crispy dish sits in the centre on the large tarte flambée plate. It doesn't get split up across lots of small plates.
  • As a base for cheese-topped toasts and other oven dishes: you serve them hot and easily, without moving the food.
  • In a café or restaurant: tarte flambée and pizza arrive at the table on the wooden plate. A portion on warm beech wood looks more appealing than on standard white crockery.
  • For catering or buffets: several plates side by side create a calm, natural line. And topping up is quick.

Good to know about tarte flambée

Tarte flambée comes from Alsace. There it is traditionally served straight on a wooden board. This keeps the thin base crispy, and you can cut it without fuss. With a 40 cm pizza plate, you bring exactly this serving tradition to your own table.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. After use, simply wipe the plate with a damp cloth and let it air dry. It doesn't belong in the dishwasher. Constant moisture would damage the wood. This way your beech pizza plate keeps its light, smooth surface for a long time.

Options & what's included

  • Classic pizza plate with straight edge, 40 cm diameter, 2 cm thick

Frequently asked questions

Can I cut directly on the plate? Yes. Every pizza plate also works as a chopping board. You portion pizza or tarte flambée right on it and serve from the same board.

Is the plate dishwasher safe? No. Only clean it with a damp cloth so the beech wood keeps its shape.

What is the difference between Classic and Modern? Only the edge. Classic has a straight edge, Modern has a bevelled edge. Diameter and thickness are the same for both.

Why does every plate look slightly different? Beech is a purely natural material. Grain, shade and small knots vary from piece to piece. That is exactly what makes every plate unique.

This is a board with a 40 cm diameter. What it's really for is the moment the tarte flambée sits on the wood in the middle of the table and everyone wants to reach for it at once. Just choose your favourite shape, Classic or Modern. Then your next pizza night can begin. Your Bütic team
