Cleaning and caring for PLEXIGLAS®
PLEXIGLAS® scratches and turns cloudy if it is cleaned the wrong way. With lukewarm water, a little washing-up liquid and a soft cloth, it stays clear.

Peel off the protective film first
Most of our PLEXIGLAS® items have a protective film on the back. It protects them from scratches in transit. Peel it off before you use the item for the first time.
How to clean PLEXIGLAS®
Use clean, lukewarm water with a little washing-up liquid and a soft cloth, for example a microfibre one. For greasy dirt, cleaning benzine (benzene-free petroleum spirit) helps.
Never wipe PLEXIGLAS® dry – it causes scratches.
What you shouldn't use
Window cleaner and methylated spirits can make PLEXIGLAS® cloudy. This damages it for good.
Disinfecting
Isopropyl alcohol (2-propanol) is the best choice for disinfecting.
