It gets dark early outside. You want a light on the table that doesn't glare in your eyes. In the tall frosted glass tea light holder, it's not just the flame that glows. The whole glass shimmers brightly and evenly. A simple tea light becomes a soft light for the evening.

What changes for you

  • Your table gets warm light that hardly dazzles. The satin-finished surface spreads the glow across the whole glass.
  • You can light tealights on your balcony and patio too. The 70 mm high glass wall keeps draughts away from the flame.
  • You can buy tea lights without measuring. Inside, the glass measures 38 mm at the base. A standard tea light fits in.

Material & finish

The tall tea light glasses from Bütic are made in Germany. Their surface is satin-finished. So the glass itself is matt. There is no coating that could flake off. The tea light's aluminium cup only shows as a soft shadow. The base is around 10 mm thick. At approx. 95 g, each glass stands securely on the table or windowsill. With no print or decoration, it goes with wood, linen and porcelain.

How to use the tea light glasses

  • On the dining table: Place three glasses in the centre. The light falls softly on plates and faces.
  • At weddings and christenings: Put one glass at each place. The matt white goes with light table linen and flowers. The set of 50 is enough for a long table.
  • In a restaurant or hotel: One glass per table is quick to set out. After closing, you collect the glasses just as quickly.
  • With LED tea lights: In a child's room or on a shelf, use an LED tea light. Behind the matt glass, the plastic is hardly visible.

Good to know about satin-finished glass

To satin-finish glass, the surface is finely roughened by sandblasting or etching. The tiny irregularities scatter the light in many directions. That's why the whole glass glows and not just one bright spot.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Let wax residue cool and lift it out. Then rinse the glass with warm water and dry it. Because the matt surface is part of the glass, it stays even after many evenings.

Options & what's included

  • Six set sizes with 4 to 50 glasses
  • Only the glasses are supplied. Tea lights and decorations are not included.

Frequently asked questions

Do maxi tealights fit too? No. Maxi tealights are around 60 mm wide. Inside, the glass has 38 mm of space at the base.

Can the glasses go in the dishwasher? The manufacturer gives no information on this. So it's best to wash the glasses by hand with warm water.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
