Crumbs under the breakfast table, dust in the hallway, a few biscuit crumbs in the children's room – little sweeping jobs come up every day. A beechwood indoor broom that sits well in your hand and sweeps reliably lets you deal with them in passing. No need to get the hoover out. The Bütic indoor broom with a German standard metal thread is made for exactly this, and for your hallway too: screw it on, sweep, done.

What changes for you

  • You can quickly sweep the kitchen, hallway and living room in between. At approx. 28 cm wide, the broom stays handy and gets into corners.
  • You don't need to buy a new handle. Thanks to the German standard 24 mm metal thread, the broom head fits standard handles.
  • You'll find the bristles that suit your floor. Choose from soft synthetic bristles, mixed bristles or pure horsehair. Horsehair is especially good at holding dust.
  • You're holding a long-lasting everyday item, not a throwaway product. The head is made of sturdy beechwood and made in Germany.
  • You get clean workmanship you can rely on every day. That goes for the simple indoor broom right up to the two-part Toscana with four screws.

Why this indoor broom makes a difference every day

A good indoor broom is one of those things you hardly notice – until you have a bad one. With densely filled bristles that hold the dust instead of stirring it up, a quick sweep becomes a minor task. A few strokes keep your home tidy. No electricity, no noise, no fuss.

Material & finish

The broom head is made of sturdy beechwood. Depending on the version, it is lacquered in different colours – natural, teak or walnut. Depending on the model, the horsehair, mixed or synthetic bristles have a slightly stiffer edge of bristles. This edge also reaches along edges and skirting boards. The top-of-the-range Toscana is made in two parts, fixed with four screws and given three coats of lacquer. It has pure horse tail hair and sweeps exceptionally well. Please note: wood is a purely natural material. Colour, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every broom unique and is not a defect.

How to use the indoor broom

  • In the kitchen after dinner: give it a quick sweep under the table. The crumbs are gone before anyone carries them around the house.
  • In the hallway and entrance: sweep sand and street dust away from the door. Your home stays tidy from the first step.
  • In the children's room: quickly sweep up craft scraps and play sand. No need to switch on the noisy hoover.
  • In the office or storeroom: keep a broom on its handle within reach on the wall. Your work area stays tidy in between, without losing time.
  • In a bakery, café or at a market stall: quickly clear flour dust and crumbs behind the counter. With horsehair, it holds dust especially well and sweeps quietly.

Good to know about the parlour broom

The German name "Stubenbesen" (parlour broom) dates back to a time when the "good parlour" was the most important room in the house. It was looked after with great care. Horsehair has been a trusted bristle for generations, because it holds dust instead of stirring it up. That is why brooms like Zahre or Toscana with pure horsehair are a good choice for smooth floors in living spaces.

Frequently asked questions

Will the broom fit my existing handle? All versions have a German standard 24 mm metal thread. So they fit standard broom handles with this thread.

What is the difference between the bristle types? Synthetic bristles (Roons) are soft and easy to use. Natural bristles (Tokio, Bibione, König) sweep thoroughly. Pure horsehair (Zahre, Toscana) is extra good at holding dust and especially densely filled.

Why does my broom look slightly different from the picture? Beechwood is a natural material. Colour, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every broom unique.

Where are the brooms made? All indoor brooms are made in Germany and cleanly finished.

What really counts is the moment the crumbs are in the dustpan. The floor is clean again. And you can relax and get on with the next nice part of your day. Simply choose the version that suits your floors.
