- Your paints go on evenly and the shape doesn't warp. That's thanks to the firm, 1.2 mm bookbinding board with its smooth surface.
- You'll find the right size for every project. Choose anything from a small 5 cm tag to a large 50 cm decoration, in 1 cm steps.
- Crafting with children stays relaxed. The untreated cardboard works just as well with pens, paint and glue.
- You can craft with a clear conscience. The cardboard is made from 100% recycled material and comes from Bütic's own production in Pößneck.
Why this cardboard medicine bottle makes a difference
A good blank takes care of the tedious part and leaves you the fun part: decorating. There's no tracing templates or trimming edges. You have a clear, recognisable shape in your hands from the start. An afternoon with paint and glue gives you a decoration designed just the way you want it. Use it as a tag, a window picture or a decoration at your themed party.
Material & finish
The firm solid board in bookbinding quality feels sturdy in your hand. It copes well with thicker coats of paint. You can stick things on it, paint it or varnish it without it going soft. The edges are laser-cut and show the typical brown rim. This gives the shape a handmade look. The surface is smooth and untreated, so it takes paint directly. Every cutout is made in Thuringia, in our own production in Pößneck.

How to use the cardboard medicine bottle
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own bottle as a “magic potion”. At the end, a whole row of colourful one-offs stands on the windowsill.
- For a themed party or Halloween: combine several sizes to create a pharmacy backdrop with your own labels. Your guests will stop at the entrance to take a look.
- As a money gift: label the bottle “Medicine for wanderlust” and attach the note to it. It's a gift people will remember.
- In a pharmacy or shop window: large cutouts of up to 50 cm present a theme quickly and without much setting up. For the next promotion, you can simply redesign them.
- For weddings, birthdays or Valentine's Day: painted in a small size, the bottle becomes a tag or place card. Every seat gets a lovingly made detail.
Good to know about the medicine bottle
The classic brown glass medicine bottle has its shape for a reason. In the past, the dark glass protected the contents from light. That's how the slim bottle with a neck became a familiar sight in every pharmacy. This makes the silhouette instantly recognisable. Use it for pharmacy decorations, vintage arrangements or tongue-in-cheek gifts “on prescription”.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the cutouts dry and flat, and they'll keep their shape. Keep the untreated cardboard away from moisture. Once painted or varnished, your design will stay just as you made it for a long time.
