A money gift for a wedding in the Ländle, an invitation with a link to home, or wall decoration that shows where you belong. Sometimes you are missing just the one motif that ties it all together. This Baden-Württemberg cardboard cutout is made for moments like these. It is a clear state outline in sturdy bookbinding board. You can paint it, stick things on it or write on it. That turns a craft idea into a decoration made by your own hand.

Why this cardboard cutout makes a difference in everyday use

A ready-cut outline takes care of the hardest part for you: cutting it out neatly. Instead of fiddling with a template and craft knife, you can start decorating straight away. The result looks tidy from the very first try. Use it on a card, as table decoration or as regional wall decoration. The outline links your project to home at once, without much explanation.

Material & finish

The solid bookbinding board weighs 755 g/m² and feels noticeably sturdy in your hand. It does not warp when you stick things on it, and it takes acrylic paint or varnish. The surface is smooth and untreated. The laser-cut edges are the typical brown and neatly finished. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Each piece is made from 100 % recycled material.

• Make money gifts for a wedding or birthday: stick banknotes onto the outline and add a message. The gift then shows at once where the trip or the new home is headed.
• Crafting with children: paint your own state and mark in towns and rivers. Along the way, a little local geography sticks.
• Invitations and cards for an engagement, Valentine's Day or a celebration: a small outline on the card turns an invitation into a personal keepsake.
• Wall decoration in the hallway or living room: paint a large cutout in your favourite colour. The wall then shows at first glance where your roots are.
• In a café, farm shop or at the weekly market: a labelled state outline on the counter shows where your products come from. No big sign and no lengthy set-up needed.

Good to know about Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg was formed in 1952 from the merger of Baden, Württemberg-Baden and Württemberg-Hohenzollern. Its residents affectionately call it the “Ländle”. This strong attachment makes the outline a popular motif. It works as a gift for people who live here. It is also a reminder for anyone who has moved away and wants to keep their home region on the wall.

Care & durability

There is not much to do. Store the cutout somewhere dry and flat, and it will keep its shape for a long time. The board is untreated, so protect it from moisture. A coat of paint or varnish makes the surface more resistant.
