Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The Advent wreath is up. The windows are still waiting for some colour. And the table is covered with craft supplies for an afternoon with the kids. This is where this blue 8-point wooden star comes in. It is a laser-cut star cutout made of plywood with a dark blue stain. You can choose any height from 3 to 50 cm. It is made for your Christmas crafts. Use it in the window, on a Christmas card or in a garland. The star adds calm, deep colour to your decorations. You don't need to pick up a brush yourself.
What changes for you
- You can skip priming and painting. The front already has a dark blue stain, so you can start decorating straight away.
- Your project fits to the centimetre. You can choose any height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. That covers everything from a small card motif to a large window star.
- You can relax while crafting with children – the stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
- You can carry on without sanding. The laser cut leaves smooth, precise edges that don't fray or splinter.
- Your garlands and series look uniform. Every star is cut to the same shape. You can order them in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden star makes a difference every day
Ready-made plastic decorations often look generic. A star made of real wood brings warmth and calm into a room. The deep dark blue looks elegant and understated in the window, on a branch or on a laid table. You decide the size and quantity yourself. So a simple cutout becomes exactly the decoration that suits your home or your shop.
Material & finish
The star is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives clean, precise edges. It also leaves the typical brown edge, which gives the star a handcrafted look. The dark blue stain is applied with care. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. This is not a flaw but the sign of a real natural material. Every piece is one of a kind. Only the front is stained. The back is left natural and untreated. You can paint it, write on it or stick things to it.

How to use your wooden star
- For Christmas crafts with kids: paint the back, write a name on it, hang it up. In the end, every child has their own star in the window.
- For Christmas cards and gift tags: stick on a small 3 or 4 cm star. A plain card becomes a greeting people like to keep.
- For gifts of money: place the star on the wrapped gift as a decoration. The handover looks lovingly prepared rather than hastily put together.
- As window or branch decoration: string several stars in different sizes on ribbons. Your window tells of Advent from far away.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: with a set of 25, 50 or 100, you can decorate your counter, shop window and baskets in the same style. They are quick to set up and can be reused for years.
Good to know about the eight-pointed star
The eight-pointed star is one of the oldest star shapes in the Christmas tradition. It is often linked with the Star of Bethlehem, which is said to have shown the way to the manger. That is why it suits not only Advent decorations but also nativity plays, Christmas cards and festively decorated shop windows.
Care & durability
There's not much to do: just wipe off dust with a dry cloth, and that's it. Protect the star from constant moisture. The natural back in particular is untreated. This keeps the blue surface looking good for many Christmases. You can take the stars out of the box again year after year.

Are both sides blue? No, only the front is stained. The back is left natural and untreated. It's ideal for painting, decorating or writing on.
Where does the brown edge come from? The star is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. The laser cut also gives smooth, precise edges that need no finishing.
Do all the stars look exactly the same? The shape is exactly the same. But wood is a natural material. Grain, shade and small knots can vary and make every star one of a kind.
