The heart is made of 3 mm birch plywood. In our own production in Pößneck, we lacquer it in cherry on both sides. The water-based satin lacquer leaves the grain and small knots visible. So the heart feels like real wood and looks like it too. Laser cutting gives accurate shapes and smooth edges. They are pleasant to touch and ready for you to work with straight away. Wood is a purely natural material. Every piece varies a little in brightness and texture. That makes each heart one of a kind, not a flaw.
