The hexagon is made of 3 mm thick birch plywood. It is produced in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and an exact shape. You hold a cleanly finished piece that feels pleasant in your hand. It can be laid out or hung up precisely. Flame-treating both sides creates the rustic colour. The clear, water-based satin varnish protects the surface and leaves the grain and knots visible. Good to know: wood is a natural material. Brightness, texture and small knots vary slightly from cutout to cutout. This makes every piece one of a kind – it is not a defect.
