This Germany outline made of HDF is just right for your craft table. It's an untreated cutout in the shape of the map of Germany. You can paint it, stick things on it or decorate it however you like. What changes for you
- You can start right away without sanding or finishing. The outline is laser-cut and has smooth edges.
- Your paints, varnishes and glues hold reliably, because the surface is untreated and left natural.
- You'll find the right size for every project. Choose a small country outline for cards and tags or a large silhouette for the living room. Available from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You save time and money on group projects, because the cutout also comes in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- You work with a stable blank. At 3 mm thick, it is easy to hold and to decorate neatly.
Why this Germany cutout makes a difference in everyday life
A good blank saves you the tedious preparation. It leaves room for what matters: your design. Instead of sawing out a country outline yourself, you hold a clean, finished shape in your hand. You can focus fully on colour, motif and idea. A vague craft idea quickly turns into a result you can be proud of.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm high-density HDF/MDF fibreboard. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. That's why the edges are smooth and the finish is clean. The board is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So it takes paint and glue well. As a wood fibre material, HDF always shows different textures. Some fibres are lighter, some darker, and they may have small irregularities. This makes every piece unique. It is a feature of the material, not a flaw.

How to use the Germany outline
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own small outline. In the end, a colourful map of Germany hangs on the fridge.
- For school projects: paint on the federal states, mark cities, add little flags. Geography becomes something you can touch, not just read about.
- As wall decoration: paint the large country silhouette in your favourite colour or cover it with photos of places you've travelled to. It makes a keepsake for your hallway or living room.
- For cards and tags: add the small country outline to greeting cards, presents or guest favours. It's a detail people notice straight away.
- In shops, cafés or at market stalls: fix it to the counter or shelf as a sign of regional origin. Your customers see at a glance where the goods come from.
- In model making: used as a base shape or backdrop, the flat 3 mm cutout hardly stands out.
Good to know about the outline of Germany
HDF stands for high-density fibreboard. Wood fibres are pressed tightly together. This keeps the material stable despite its thin 3 mm profile. It also gives it an even, fine-pored surface. That's why it is so good for painting and covering. Paint does not run into coarse grain, and fine details stay visible.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated cutout in a dry place and avoid constant moisture. Then it stays stable and keeps its smooth surface. You can also finish the surface with paint or a glaze as you like.
