An afternoon at the craft table. Brushes and paints are ready. In your hand is a Dharma wheel made of HDF, just waiting for you to make it your own. Use it as wall decoration for your yoga room, as a calm symbol in your meditation corner or as a craft project with children. This laser-cut wooden cutout is made for your own ideas. You choose the size, colour and design. The wheel provides the shape.

What changes for you

  • You can start painting, gluing or decorating straight away. The HDF is untreated, so it takes paints, varnishes and glue well.
  • Your design looks neat even up close. The laser cut leaves smooth edges, with no sanding needed.
  • You'll find exactly the right size for your project. Choose anything from a small 5 cm pendant to 50 cm wall decor, in 1 cm steps.
  • Planning larger projects, classes or craft afternoons is easy. The Dharma wheel is available on its own or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
  • You're holding an honest piece of craftsmanship. It's made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Why this Dharma wheel makes a difference in everyday life

A symbol you design yourself feels different from mass-produced decor. It carries your colours, your idea, your moment. In a yoga or meditation room, the Dharma wheel gives the wall a clear focal point. In your living space, it hangs as a calm symbol you made yourself. And when you craft with children, it's a natural way to talk about where the motif comes from.

Material & finish

The cutout is made from a 3 mm thick, high-density HDF/MDF fibreboard. It is sturdy enough for wall decor and light enough to hang up and work with. The laser cut gives smooth edges and a clean finish. The board is left natural, with no varnish or glaze, so you can design it any way you like. Fibreboard naturally shows lighter and darker fibres and small irregularities. This is not a flaw. It makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the Dharma wheel

  • In a yoga or meditation room: Hang a large 40 or 50 cm wheel on the wall. The room gets a calm centre that sets the mood.
  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own small wheel. At the end, everyone takes home a piece they made themselves.
  • As a gift idea: Paint the motif in the recipient's favourite colours. It makes a personal little gift for anyone who loves Buddhism, yoga or mindfulness.
  • In a yoga studio or class room: With a set of 25 or 50 pieces, you can supply workshops or make small gifts for participants. Same motif for everyone, quick to set up.
  • For model making and all kinds of decoration: The thin, sturdy board can be glued, painted and built into larger projects.

Good to know about the Dharma wheel

The motif comes from Buddhism. "Chakra" is Sanskrit for "wheel", and the Dharma wheel stands for the teachings of the Buddha. That's why it is so popular as wall decor in yoga and meditation rooms. It brings meaning to the wall, not just a shape.

Care & durability

It needs very little care. Dusting it with a dry cloth now and then is enough. As the board is untreated, protect it from constant moisture. In dry indoor rooms, your Dharma wheel will keep its shape and look good for a long time. If you paint or varnish it, you seal the surface at the same time.

  • Choose your size: 5 cm to 50 cm (height x width), in 1 cm steps
  • Available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100
  • Supplied natural: untreated, not varnished or glazed

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the Dharma wheel? Yes. The MDF board is untreated and takes paint, varnish and glue well. It's ideal for crafting, painting and decorating.

Are the height and width the same? Yes. For example, if you choose a height of 10 cm, the width is also 10 cm.

Is the wheel suitable for outdoor use? The board is untreated and should be protected from constant moisture. For outdoor use, we recommend a protective coat of varnish or sealant.

Why do the boards look different? HDF boards are made from pressed wood fibres. These can vary in shade and show small irregularities. This is what makes every piece one of a kind.

What matters isn't the fibreboard. It's the moment you hang up the Dharma wheel you designed yourself. The room feels a little calmer and more personal. Just choose your size and quantity and get started.
