Why this cardboard ECG line makes a difference
A ready-cut motif saves you the most tedious part: cutting out. You start straight away with the fun part – designing, combining, decorating. And you get a result that looks the way you planned it, faster. Use it on the wall, on the table or on your homemade cards. The heartbeat line gives your occasion a clear, recognisable theme.
Material & finish
The ECG line is made of sturdy solid board in bookbinding quality, 1.2 mm thick. It keeps its shape and does not bend easily while you work on it. The surface looks smoothly sanded and is untreated. It reliably takes paint, varnish and glue. The cutout is laser cut, so the edges have a brown tone. This is typical of the process and gives the motif a clear outline. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the ECG line
- Crafting with children: everyone paints their own line. At the end, a colourful heartbeat garland hangs in the children's room.
- For a wedding or Valentine's Day: put a small ECG line at every place setting. Your guests will recognise the heart theme at first glance.
- For homemade cards: stick on the motif, write your message, done. For exams, get-well wishes or simply a greeting from the heart.
- As wall decoration in a surgery, care team room or shared flat: one large line 50 cm wide fills the wall. You hardly need anything else around it.
- For club parties or graduations: with a set of 25, 50 or 100, you can decorate every table the same way. One set-up, one look, little effort.
Good to know about the ECG line
An ECG records the heartbeat. The electrocardiogram was developed in the early 20th century by Willem Einthoven. He received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for it in 1924. To this day, the line is a symbol of life and the heartbeat. That is why the motif suits occasions all about the heart – from weddings and engagements to passed medical exams or a thank-you to the surgery team.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and protect it from constant moisture. It will then keep its shape and smooth surface for a long time. If you want it to be more durable, you can varnish it after decorating.
