Material & finish

The wooden clouds are laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That is why they have their typical brown edges, which give the motif a finely drawn outline. The coloured versions in light blue, dark blue, grey, black and white have two coats of glaze on the front. The back is left natural. Every cloud is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished. Wood is a purely natural material. So every cloud shows its own grain, slight differences in shade or small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes each piece one of a kind.

Is the cloud suitable for a child's room? Yes. The glaze on the coloured clouds meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3 – with the exception of the black colour.
