Hatched chick wall picture – wooden window decoration, 25 × 17 cm

Easter is getting closer and the breakfast table is laid. But there's still nothing hanging in the window. With the wooden “hatched chick” window decoration, you can hang exactly this moment in your window: a newly hatched chick, engraved on both sides and made for your spring decorations. Use it as a wall picture in the hallway or as a decoration in the window. The little chick makes the room feel cosy, with hardly any effort.

What changes for you

• Your window looks lovingly decorated from inside and outside. That's because the motif is laser-engraved on both sides in two levels.
• You can hang it up in seconds. Thanks to the hanging hole, the picture itself needs no hook or tools.
• Your decorations look natural and calm rather than loud and random. That's because the chick is made from real poplar plywood.
• You get a piece that exists only once. The wood grain makes every window decoration unique.
• You can decorate with a clear conscience. The picture comes from our own production in Pößneck and is made in Germany.

Why this window hanging makes a difference every day

A window without decoration is just a window. With the hatched chick in front of it, your eyes will rest on it over your morning coffee. Thanks to the engraving on both sides, the motif is just as easy to see from outside. The warm wood surface blends quietly into your wall decorations instead of competing with them.

Material & finish

The window decoration is made from poplar plywood. It's a light material with visible grain, which gives the motif its pale, wood-like colour. All cuts are lasered, so the outlines are clean and even. The engraving is done on both sides in two levels, so the chick stands out from the wood at two different depths. Good to know: wood is a purely natural material. Plywood always has varying textures. It can be lighter or darker and may show small irregularities in the grain or small knots. That's why the engravings on the two sides almost always come out in different shades. This makes every piece unique. It is not a defect.

How to use the window hanging

• In the kitchen window at Easter: hang up the chick and step back. Now spring greets everyone walking past, from both sides.
• As a wall picture in a child's room: hung from a small nail, the chick shows a friendly motif on pale poplar plywood.
• On an Easter tree or in a door wreath: among the twigs, the wooden motif becomes the calm centre of your spring decorations.
• In a bakery or café: hung in the shop window or above the counter, the chick gets your customers in the mood for your Easter range as soon as they walk in. It's quick to put up and easy to swap with the seasons.
• As a small gift: instead of flowers, you give a handcrafted wooden piece that comes out again year after year.

Good to know about the chick

The chick has long been one of the best-known symbols of new life and the start of spring. That's why it has a firm place in Easter decorations. It's also why this motif suits more than your own window. It works as a spring greeting in a shop window or as a gift for a new baby.

Care & durability

There's not much to do. Dust it with a dry cloth now and then. As it is untreated natural wood, it's best to hang the window decoration indoors and keep it away from constant moisture. That way it keeps its warm look for many springs.

Frequently asked questions

Can you see the motif from both sides? Yes, the chick is engraved on both sides in two levels. That's ideal for a window, where people see it from inside and outside.

How do I hang up the window decoration? It has a hole for hanging. Just thread a ribbon or string through it and tie it to the window handle, a nail or a twig.

Why do the two sides look lighter or darker? Plywood is a natural material with varying textures and shades. So the engravings on the two sides almost always turn out slightly different. Every piece is unique.

Where is the window decoration made? In Germany. It comes from our own production in Pößneck.

What you're really getting is a moment. In the morning you draw back the curtain. The little chick hangs in the light. And spring already feels a little closer. Just bring the window decoration home – the season will do the rest.
