Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The nursery door still has no name. The wall above the sofa is waiting for a word that suits you. With these veneer letters in the flowing BHeart font, you put your text together yourself, letter by letter. They are wooden letters in dark real wood veneer, made for your walls and cards. You choose upper and lower case and the height. The rest is your idea.
What changes for you
- You create your own text instead of ready-made standard words. That's because every letter can be ordered individually.
- Your lettering also sticks to cards, furniture and walls without adding bulk. That's thanks to the low thickness of only 0.6 mm.
- You decide on the surface yourself. The veneer is untreated and can be covered, painted or oiled.
- You attach the letters in the way that suits your project. Glue them or drill them – both work.
- You get cleanly laser-cut outlines from our own production. Every letter is made by Bütic in Pößneck.
Why these wooden letters make a difference in everyday life
A word made of real wood looks calmer and warmer than printed vinyl or paper. The visible grain and the flowing BHeart script turn names, dates and short messages into something that looks handmade and real. It doesn't look mass-printed. This way a wall, an invitation card or a piece of furniture tells a little about you.
Material & finish
The letters are made of dark real wood veneer. Veneer is a very thin sheet of real wood that feels pleasant and is easy to work with. Laser cutting creates the typical brown edge. It traces the outlines finely and is part of the look. Veneer is a natural material, so the grain and shade can vary slightly from piece to piece. Every letter is unique – this is not a flaw. The wood is untreated and left natural. You can paint it, oil it or leave it as it is.

How to use the veneer letters
- On the nursery door: your child's name in wooden letters on the door. Your child knows straight away that this room is theirs alone.
- For a wedding or christening: names and date on cards or on the guest favours. Every invitation becomes a small keepsake.
- In the living room: a short word above the sofa or shelf. The empty wall shows something of your own, without you having to hang a whole picture.
- At the front door: combine them with matching numbers from our other products to make a door sign of real wood.
- In a shop or café: product names or a welcome message on the counter and shop window. Real wood instead of printed vinyl, and quick to attach thanks to the 0.6 mm thickness.
- Our tip for consistent words: Order all the letters of a word in the same size, even if it starts with a capital letter. That way upper- and lower-case letters match exactly in scale.
Good to know about veneer
Veneer is a very thin sheet of real wood. Cabinetmakers have used this technique for centuries to apply fine woods to surfaces without using solid wood. That's exactly why these letters have so many uses. They show real wood with visible grain, but they are so light and flat that you can even attach your lettering to paper and invitation cards.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Kept dry indoors, the untreated veneer stays as it was when it arrived for a long time. If you want to protect the surface or change the colour, simply oil or paint the letters to suit your project.

Frequently asked questions
Why are the lower-case letters shorter than the size I chose? The height you choose applies to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the same scale as they are designed in the font. This keeps words balanced, just like in printed type.
Where does the brown edge come from? The letters are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge, which emphasises the outlines and is part of the look.
Can I paint or cover the letters? Yes. The wood is left natural and can be covered, painted or oiled, just as your design idea requires.
How do I attach the letters? You can glue them or drill them. With a thickness of only 0.6 mm, they also stick to cards, furniture and walls.
Are there numbers and special characters too? Yes. You'll find matching wooden numbers and special characters among our other products. So you can also make dates and house numbers.
Veneer and fonts are only the means. What counts is the moment your child discovers their name on the door. Or when guests stop at your wall and read what matters to you. Simply choose your letters and the right height – the wood does the rest.
