The characters are made of dark real wood veneer with a thickness of approx. 0.6 mm. That is thin enough to glue on flat, yet it is real wood with natural grain, so no two characters are alike. All letters, numbers and symbols are laser-cut. They have the typical brown edge that traces the outlines finely. Every character is made in our own production in Pößneck. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, oil it or put it up as it is.

• Each letter, number and symbol is ordered and delivered individually
• Important: the height you choose refers to capital letters and numbers. Small symbols such as full stop, comma or minus are made to the scale of the font. That is why they are much smaller. In Arial, for example, a full stop at a font size of 10 cm is only about 1.4 cm.
• For a word or sentence, order all characters in the same size so they match.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or oil the letters? Yes. The veneer comes in its natural, untreated form. You can cover, paint or oil it to match the colour of your interior.

How do I attach the characters? At a thickness of only approx. 0.6 mm, they are easy to glue on. You can also drill them if needed.

Where does the brown edge come from? The characters are laser-cut. The fine brown edge forms naturally in the process and emphasises the outlines of the font.

Why are the full stop and comma smaller than ordered? Small symbols are made to the scale of the font. That is why they are much smaller than capital letters of the same size. Order all the characters of a word in one size, and the proportions will match.
