Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Advent is just around the corner. The craft supplies are already on the kitchen table. And you're still looking for a shape to decorate the window, a branch or a present. This yellow plywood bell with a hanging hole is made for your craft afternoon. Just thread a ribbon through, hang it up and you're done. Use it as a Christmas bell in the window or as a tree ornament on a fir branch. With a few simple steps, a plain cutout becomes festive Christmas decor.
What changes for you
- You can hang the bell straight away, with no drilling or gluing. That's thanks to the ready-made 3 mm hole at the top centre.
- Your window, branch or present gets a splash of warm colour. That's because the front is glazed in a strong yellow.
- You can craft with children. The stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
- Your decoration always fits the space you have. Choose anything from a small 3 cm bell for the Advent calendar to a 50 cm bell for the shop window. Sizes come in 1 cm steps.
- You design the back just the way you like. It is left natural, so you can paint it, write on it or simply leave it as it is.
Why this yellow bell makes a difference
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden cutout you design yourself makes your Christmas decor your own. You decide what happens to the bell. It can hang plainly in the window. It can carry a name and mark a place at the festive table. Or children can decorate it in bright colours. That way you get Christmas decorations you designed yourself, rather than taking them ready-made off the shelf.
Material & finish
The bell is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it smooth, precise edges. The typical brown laser edge frames the shape naturally. The yellow glaze is applied with care. Depending on the light, you can still see the wood grain and small knots through it. This makes every piece unique. It isn't a flaw – it's the nature of a natural material. Only the front is glazed. The back stays untreated. Every bell is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the yellow bell
- Christmas crafts with children: each child paints and decorates their own bell. In the end, an ornament they are truly proud of hangs on the tree.
- On an Advent afternoon: thread a ribbon through the hole and hang the bell in the window. A warm yellow now greets everyone who passes by.
- Making an Advent calendar: number small bells and tie them to the little bags as tags. Counting down to Christmas becomes twice the fun.
- Wrapping presents: a bell with a name on a ribbon replaces the gift tag. The parcel looks lovingly made before it's even opened.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: several bells in graded sizes in the shop window or above the counter create a uniform Advent display. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, it's quick and even to put together.
Good to know about bells
Bells have been part of Christmas for centuries. Their ringing announces Midnight Mass. In many families, a little bell calls the children to open their presents. That's why the bell is such a popular motif. On the tree, in the window and on Christmas cards, it simply belongs to Advent.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Keep the bell dry and wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. Avoid lasting moisture. This keeps the plywood stable in shape, and the yellow glaze keeps its colour for many Advent seasons.

Frequently asked questions
Is the bell suitable for crafts with children? Yes. The yellow glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
Is the bell yellow on both sides? No, only the front is glazed. The back is natural and untreated. That's ideal if you'd like to paint or write on it yourself.
How big is the hanging hole? The hole sits at the top centre and is 3 mm in diameter. Standard ribbons, cords and hooks fit through it.
Why does the bell have a brown edge? The bell is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge, which also frames the shape neatly.
Does every bell look the same? Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That's exactly what makes every bell unique.
What counts is more than a wooden cutout. It's the afternoon when the first bell you designed yourself hangs in the window. That's when Advent really begins in your home. Just choose your size – singly or in a set.
