The first rays of sunshine fall through the window. Fresh branches stand on the windowsill. And that is exactly where a small splash of colour is missing. A yellow wooden dragonfly lights up this moment. Hang it on a branch, scatter it on the table or use it as a craft blank for your own idea. Made for your spring decorations – in the size you need.

What changes for you

  • Your windowsill and table look more springlike straight away, with very little effort. The yellow dragonfly arrives ready glazed. All you have to do is put it in place.
  • You'll find the right size for every idea. Choose from a delicate 3 cm as table scatter up to a striking 50 cm as window decoration, in 1 cm steps.
  • You can use the dragonfly for crafts with children too. The yellow glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • The back is yours to paint and decorate as you like. It is natural and untreated, so paint and glue hold well.
  • Every dragonfly is one of a kind. Depending on the light, the wood grain shimmers through the glaze. No two dragonflies are the same.

Why this wooden dragonfly makes a difference every day

Ready-made plastic decorations often look interchangeable. A yellow-glazed dragonfly made of real wood brings warmth and a natural feel into the room instead. The typical brown edge from laser cutting gives the motif a clear, calm outline. You can see it even from a few steps away. With just a few simple steps, you create a spring decoration that looks lovingly made and is still quick to do.

Material & finish

The dragonfly is laser cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives smooth edges and precise outlines. You can rely on them when sticking things on and hanging it up. The yellow glaze on the front is carefully applied. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots show through. This is not a flaw. It is the mark of a genuine natural material: every piece is unique. The back is deliberately left natural, so you can design it the way you want. Every dragonfly is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the yellow dragonfly

  • At the window in spring: Hang a few dragonflies in different sizes on threads. The view outside becomes a foretaste of summer.
  • On the coffee table: Scatter small dragonflies between plates and napkins. Your guests will spot the details before the cake arrives.
  • Crafting with children: Paint, stick on and decorate the natural back. Every child takes their own dragonfly home.
  • On a spring bouquet: Attach a dragonfly to branches or a bunch of flowers. It turns a simple bouquet into a little gift.
  • In a café, bakery or at a market stall: With just a few dragonflies, you can set up a seasonal counter or shop window display in minutes. It's quick to put up, and you can reorder any size you like.

Good to know about the dragonfly

The dragonfly has long been seen as a messenger of spring and summer. In many cultures it stands for lightness and change. That is why the motif suits seasonal window decorations, garden table decorations or a greeting on branches so well. It announces the warm season before it has fully arrived.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough to keep the yellow glaze bright for a long time. Avoid constant moisture, as the back is untreated natural wood. That way your dragonfly stays ready to use for many seasons.

Frequently asked questions

Is the glaze suitable for children? Yes, the yellow glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3 – including for crafts with children.

Are both sides yellow? No, only the front is glazed. The back is natural and untreated. That makes it ideal if you want to paint it or stick things on yourself.

Why does the dragonfly have a brown edge? It is laser cut. The brown edge forms naturally during cutting and frames the motif like a fine outline.

Does every dragonfly look the same? The shape and dimensions are precise, but the wood underneath is not uniform. Grain, shade and small knots vary. That is what makes every dragonfly unique.

Picture the moment when the first yellow dragonflies dance at your window. Spring has moved into your home. Just choose your size and quantity. Your home will do the rest.
