One last glance at the wall in the children's room at bedtime – and there's a whole sky of yellow stars shining back. These yellow wooden stars made from poplar plywood bring exactly that cheerful feeling into your home: for hanging, painting, decorating or arranging with love. Available in sizes from 3 to 50 cm, they're made for your next decorating idea – whether a window picture, a garland or wall decor.

What changes for you

  • Brighten your wall, window or table with stars straight away. The yellow stars arrive ready glazed, so you can get started at once.
  • Your decorations look like they belong together, not thrown together. You choose any size from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. Then you combine them as you like.
  • You can use the stars in a child's bedroom too. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • The back gives you free rein for your own ideas – it's left natural and untreated, ideal for painting or writing on.
  • No sawing or sanding needed – the stars are laser-cut, precisely sized and have smooth edges.

Why these yellow wooden stars make a difference every day

A few stars in the window, a small garland above the bed – and a room instantly feels cosier. You choose the size yourself. So you get exactly the look you have in mind. Perhaps a single large star as a calm centrepiece. Or lots of small ones as a twinkling night sky. You no longer decorate with whatever happens to be around, but with what really fits.

Material & finish

The stars are made from 3 mm poplar plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck. That is where the typical brown edge comes from. It gives each star a finely drawn outline. The yellow glaze is applied with care. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots still show through. This is not a flaw but the nature of a natural material. Wood varies in shade and always shows its own structures. That is exactly what makes each piece unique. Only the front is glazed. The back is left natural.

How to use the yellow stars

  • Crafting with children: paint or decorate the back – and at the end, every child holds their very own star.
  • During Advent: hang stars in different sizes in the window – and your home will shine out to greet you from the street.
  • On the festive table: a little star at every place, perhaps with a name written on it – and your guests will find their seats with a smile.
  • In a café or shop: use the stars in your window and counter displays – quick to arrange, easy to adapt to the season and with no big set-up effort.
  • Our tip for the children's room: Combine several sizes to create a yellow starry sky on the wall or window – a friendly motif that gently accompanies children into the night.

Good to know about the star

The star has always been a symbol of guidance and hope – sailors navigated by it, and at Christmas it recalls the Star of Bethlehem. That's why yellow stars don't just suit Advent and Christmas decorations, but fit all year round for any occasion when you want to give someone a good sign to take with them – from a birth to the first day at school.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: store the stars somewhere dry and simply wipe them with a dry cloth when needed. As the back is untreated, you should avoid moisture – that way the stars will keep their sunny colour for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the yellow glaze suitable for children? Yes, it meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3. So it also works for decorations in a child's bedroom.

Can I paint the stars myself? Yes, the natural, untreated back in particular is ideal for painting, writing on and decorating.

Why do the stars have a brown edge? The stars are laser-cut – the brown edge is a typical result of this and also ensures smooth, precisely sized edges.

Do all the stars look exactly the same? Wood is a purely natural material: depending on the light, the grain and small knots show through the glaze. That's exactly what makes every star unique.

How big is a star exactly? The size you select refers to the width. For reference: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 9.5 cm.

In the end, it's not about plywood and glaze. It's about the moment your child discovers their very own starry sky on the wall at bedtime – and going to sleep suddenly feels a little easier. Just choose your sizes and quantity, and you'll create the rest.
