Why this yellow moon makes a difference every day
Ready-made cutouts take away the hurdle between idea and result. You don't need to think about tools or templates. Simply put the moon on the table and pick up glue, a pen or string. After a short time you have a result you can be proud of. When several people are crafting together, the uniform shape means all the pieces fit together right away.
Material & finish
Every moon is made from 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. This also creates the typical brown edge, which gives the motif a fine, warm outline. The yellow glaze is applied with care. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. This is not a flaw. It is the nature of a natural material. Wood varies in shade and has its own patterns, so every piece is unique. The back is left natural and untreated, so you can decorate it however you like.

How to use the yellow moon
- For Christmas crafts: hang small moons on branches or in the window. The night sky moves into your home long before the first snow falls.
- For crafting with children: each child paints and decorates their own moon on the natural back. At the end, they proudly take their work home.
- For the advent calendar: hang 24 small moons as tags on the little bags. Counting down the days gets a clear, recognisable shape.
- For making dreamcatchers: place a moon between feathers and beads. The children's room gets its own calm goodnight motif.
- In shops or cafés: use large moons in your window and shop display during the dark season. They are quick to hang, look uniform and need no preparation in your working day.
Good to know about the moon
The crescent moon has always stood for night, rest and sleep. That is why it appears in lullabies, bedtime stories and children's rooms all over the world. It suits christenings and births, bedroom and nursery decorations, or sits quietly alongside stars at Christmas.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the moons in a dry place and keep them away from constant moisture. They are a natural material with an untreated back. With this care, the colour stays fresh for a long time and the wood keeps its shape.
