Spring is on its way, but your window still looks bare. You want a motif that feels light and airy without being too much. This grey wooden dragonfly fits the bill. It is a laser-cut decorative cutout in a soft grey. You can hang it up, stick it on or decorate it further as you like. On the window, on a wreath or in a shop window, the grey dragonfly blends quietly into your decor.

What changes for you

  • Your window or wall gets a spring motif – because the dragonfly is easy to hang up or stick on.
  • You get exactly the size that suits your idea – thanks to a wingspan you can choose from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can start crafting, painting or decorating right away. The natural, untreated back takes paint and glue well.
  • You can decorate with confidence, even when crafting with children – because the grey stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • Your decor looks neat and well thought out – because laser cutting gives smooth edges and accurate shapes.

Why this wooden dragonfly makes a difference every day

Decor doesn't have to stand out to work. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through the soft grey. So you can still see and feel the natural material, while the colour stays calm and timeless. Hang one on its own on a window ribbon, or create a swarm in different sizes. The dragonfly brings movement and lightness to the room without being loud.

Material & finish

The dragonfly is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical fine brown edge, a sign of clean laser work. Only the front is stained grey. The back is left natural and untreated, so you can decorate it yourself as you wish. Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every dragonfly one of a kind. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden dragonfly

  • As spring window decor: hang up a few dragonflies in different sizes. Your window will tell of summer by the pond before it has even arrived.
  • Crafting with children: paint the natural back and stick things on it. Every child designs their own dragonfly and is proud of the result.
  • On wreaths and garlands: stick on a small dragonfly. Your door wreath gets a delicate wooden detail of its own.
  • For cards and money gifts: stick a 3 cm dragonfly onto a greetings card. A plain envelope becomes a lovingly made little gift.
  • In a seasonal shop window or at a market stall: arrange several sizes as a swarm. Your spring display is quick to set up and looks consistent throughout.

Good to know about the dragonfly

Dragonflies are among the oldest flying insects on Earth. They have long been seen as messengers of summer, water and lightness. That is why the motif suits spring and summer decor so well. Use it on the window, in a garden-themed shop window or on invitations to outdoor parties.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough. As the back is untreated, the dragonfly is best kept indoors. Do not expose it to constant moisture. That way the grey stain will look good for a long time.
