Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Advent is just around the corner and the craft table is ready. But you still need a base for your Christmas decorations. This grey wooden star with eight points is made for your craft afternoon. Simply choose the right size between 3 and 50 cm. You then have a cleanly laser-cut star in your hand. You can paint it, decorate it or hang it up straight away. A stack of stars becomes window decorations, tree ornaments or a lovingly made Advent calendar.
What changes for you
- You can start straight away instead of sawing and sanding yourself. Every star is laser-cut to exact size and has smooth edges.
- Your window, branch or counter instantly looks calm and wintry. That's down to the subtle grey stain. Depending on the light, the wood grain still shows through.
- You can craft with children in a relaxed way. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
- You design the back exactly as you like. It is natural and untreated, so it's ideal for painting, writing on or sticking things to.
- You get exactly the quantity your project needs – singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden star makes a difference every day
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A wooden star you've designed yourself tells your story instead. Use it as a gift tag, a place card or a garland in the window. The wood has a matt, grey-tinted surface with visible grain. It suits Christmas just as well as your winter decorations afterwards. And because you choose size and quantity freely, the star grows with every idea – from a small table scatter piece to a large wall star.
Material & finish
The star is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That's why it has smooth, precise edges and the typical brown rim. The rim gives the star a fine, graphic outline. The grey stain on the front is applied with care. Depending on the light, you can see the grain and small knots. The back is left natural. Wood is a purely natural material. Every board has its own shade and its own structure. This makes every piece one of a kind – it is not a flaw. The star is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished.

How to use your wooden star
- Christmas crafts with children: each child paints the natural back with their own idea. In the end, a whole family of home-made stars hangs on the tree.
- For an Advent calendar: write numbers on 24 small stars and tie them to the little bags. The calendar instantly looks like your own.
- Making Christmas cards: a small star on the card turns a greeting into a little gift. The recipient can hang it in the window.
- For gifts of money: stick a note or coins onto a large star and write the occasion next to it. The gift looks thoughtful rather than awkward.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: stars in different sizes on the counter or in the shop window create matching seasonal decorations in a few minutes. With sets of up to 100, you can cover larger areas without reordering.
Good to know about the 8-point star
The eight-point star has a firm place in Christian tradition. In art, the Star of Bethlehem is often shown with eight rays. That's why this shape suits Advent, nativity plays and Christmas decorations so well. The calm grey shade means you can keep using it for the rest of the winter.
Care & durability
There's not much to do: an occasional dry dusting is enough. Plywood is a natural material, so protect the star from constant moisture. Then the shape and colour will last for a long time, and you can bring it out again year after year.
