Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.During Advent, your own nativity scene takes shape at home: a stable, figures, a little straw. Now only the Three Wise Men are missing. This holy king is made of 1.2 mm bookbinding board and is made for your Christmas crafts. You paint him, decorate him or design him to match your nativity scene. The result is a figure that really carries your own hand.
What changes for you
- Your nativity scene gets its king in exactly the right size. You choose the height freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You design the figure to match your Christmas decorations. The untreated, smooth surface takes paint, varnish and glue well.
- You can craft with children in a relaxed way. The sturdy solid board can be painted and decorated without bending straight away.
- You can decorate larger areas without much effort. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available, for example for Christmas table decorations or window pictures.
- You can craft with a clear conscience – the board is made from 100% recycled material.
Why this cardboard king makes a difference in everyday life
Shop-bought decorations look the same everywhere. A figure you have designed yourself tells a story about you and your family. The king cutout gives you a clear shape. You decide everything else: colours, patterns, gloss or natural tone. Bit by bit, you build up Christmas decorations that grow over the years. Everyone in the house can add something.
Material & finish
The figure is laser-cut from bookbinding-quality solid board. This gives a clean, precise outline without frayed edges. The laser cut colours the edges dark (brown to dark grey). The surface itself is smooth and untreated. At 1.2 mm thick and 755 g/m², the cutout is sturdy enough to stand up, hang or decorate. Every king is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard king
- For the nativity scene: you paint the king in the colours of your nativity figures. Your Three Wise Men are then complete in time for Epiphany.
- For Christmas crafts with children: every child designs their own king. And they are visibly proud when the figure stands in the window or on the chest of drawers.
- As a Christmas table decoration: put a small king at every place. Your guests have something to smile about and take home even before the meal.
- At nursery, at school or in the parish: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, the whole group can craft the same design. You don't have to cut anything out individually.
- For shop windows, cafés or shop counters: set up several kings in different sizes, staggered. Your Christmas decorations then fill the space in a structured, tiered way.
About the Three Kings
The Three Wise Men have been part of the nativity tradition for centuries. In many places, their feast day on 6 January marks the end of the Christmas season. That is why this figure stays with you through the whole of Advent and beyond. First as a craft project, then as part of the nativity scene until Epiphany.
Care & durability
You don't need to do much. Store the king in a dry place and protect the untreated cardboard from moisture. Then you can take it out of the Christmas box undamaged for many years. A painted or varnished surface makes the figure even more robust.
