Why this cardboard king makes a difference
Christmas decorations you make yourself tell their own story. The nativity scene becomes your nativity scene because your own touch is in it. Instead of ready-made figures, you set out something that reminds you of an afternoon together. You remember the splashes of paint, the gold paper and the result everyone is a little proud of. And because you choose the size, the king fits on the windowsill or stands as a large figure next to the tree.
Material & finish
The solid board in bookbinding quality weighs 755 g/m². It is pleasantly firm and gives your hand steady resistance while you paint. Once decorated, your figure stands firmly in the scene and does not warp. The outline is laser-cut with precision. This gives the edges their typical dark tone, and the shape looks clean and clear. The surface is smooth and untreated. Acrylic paint, glue, decoupage or varnish all adhere well. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard king
- For the nativity scene: Paint the king in your own colours. Your nativity scene gets a figure that is one of a kind.
- Crafting with children: Each child designs their own king. In the end, a small procession stands on the windowsill.
- As a Christmas table decoration: Put a small king at every place. Your guests have something to discover before the first course.
- As a group of three: Three cutouts become the Three Wise Men. Set them out together on a chest of drawers, a mantelpiece or in the hallway.
- In a shop, café or bakery: With the set sizes, you can decorate your shop window and counter in a uniform style during Advent. It is quick to set up and everything matches.
- In nurseries, schools or parishes: With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, every child has their own figure for Christmas crafts. There is no time-consuming pre-cutting.
About the Three Kings
The Three Wise Men are traditionally known as Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. They have been part of the nativity tradition for centuries. They even have their own feast day, Epiphany on 6 January. So the king stays with you longer than most Christmas decorations. You can display it from Advent until the end of the Christmas season. It also works well for carol singing campaigns and crafts in your parish.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Store the king in a dry place and protect the untreated board from moisture. Then you can bring it out again every Advent for many years. An opaque coat of paint or varnish makes the surface even more durable.
