The light blue glaze is applied evenly. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. This isn't a flaw. It's simply the nature of a natural material. Every piece is one of a kind, and no two flowers are exactly alike. Only the front is glazed, while the back stays natural. So you get a finished front and a blank surface for your own ideas.
