Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The first warm days. The windows are clean and the spring table is laid – yet a splash of colour is still missing. A light blue wooden butterfly brings exactly that light, friendly mood into your home. Put it in the window, on a wreath or among the plates as table scatter. In sizes from 3 to 50 cm, it suits your spring decorations. Use small ones as delicate scatter pieces or a large one as a single motif.

- You can start crafting straight away without sanding. The laser-cut edges are smooth and precise.
- You can design the back just the way you like. It is natural and untreated – ideal for painting, writing on or sticking things to.
- You can also decorate where children join in and touch things. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
Why this wooden butterfly makes a difference every day
Paper or plastic decorations can quickly look random. A light blue butterfly made of real wood brings calm and a natural feel to your decorations. The wood feels smooth and light. You can combine it with any seasonal decoration, from the spring window to the christening table. And because you choose the size and quantity freely, you can put single motifs together into a planned arrangement. No jumble of odd pieces.
Material & finish
Every butterfly is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical fine brown edge. The edge frames the motif and is part of the character of these cutouts. The front has a light blue glaze. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots show through. The back is left natural. Wood is a purely natural material. Each piece varies in shade and shows its own structure and small inclusions. This makes every butterfly one of a kind, not flawed. The cutouts are made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden butterflies
- In the window in spring: hang up a few butterflies in different sizes. The view outside looks like a little garden.
- At Easter or a christening: scatter small butterflies across the table. Your guests will spot the lovely details as they take their seats.
- Crafting with children: paint or write on the natural back. A cutout becomes a personal gift or a name card.
- For wreaths and garlands: combine several sizes. Your spring garland gets depth instead of looking uniform.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: butterflies in the shop window or on the counter signal the spring season. They are quick to put up and reusable. With sets of up to 100, you can plan larger areas too.
Good to know about the butterfly
The butterfly has long been a symbol of change and new beginnings – from a plain start to a colourful butterfly. That's why it suits not only spring decorations. It is also a good fit for christenings, First Communions and other celebrations of a new stage in life.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough to keep the light blue surface looking fresh for a long time. The back is untreated natural wood, so protect the butterflies from constant moisture. That way they keep their shape and colour for many seasons.
