The Advent wreath is ready and the candles are in place. But something is still missing to light up windows, presents and craft afternoons. This light blue wooden star with 8 points is made for your Christmas decorations. It adds a soft touch of light blue colour. You can paint it, decorate it, hang it up and give it as a gift. Use it on its own or in a set for crafting with children. A simple wooden cutout quickly becomes your very own favourite piece.

What changes for you

  • You can get started straight away, with no preparation. The front already has a light blue glaze. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3, so it is also suitable for crafting with children.
  • Your decorations look neat and consistent. Precise laser cutting with smooth edges makes every star even and clean.
  • You'll find the right size for every project. Choose from 3 cm for Christmas cards up to 50 cm for shop windows, in 1 cm steps.
  • You have complete creative freedom. The back is left natural, so you can paint it, write on it or leave it as it is.
  • You save time and effort on larger projects. The star is also available in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden star makes a difference every day

A star made of real wood brings a calm to your decorations that shiny plastic can't match. The soft light blue looks fresh yet understated. It goes with winter white just as well as with natural fir and jute tones. And because you decide on the size and design yourself, you end up with something that suits your home – not a mass-produced item from the decor shelf.

Material & finish

The star is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it smooth edges and a precise shape. It has the brown edge typical of laser-cut wooden cutouts, which outlines each piece finely. The light blue glaze on the front is applied with care. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots still show through. This makes every piece one of a kind. It is not a flaw but the character of a natural material. The back is left natural and untreated. The star is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use your wooden star

  • Crafting Christmas decorations with children: each child decorates the natural back themselves. In the end, a little work of art hangs on the tree that everyone is proud of.
  • On Christmas cards and gift tags: stick on a small 3 cm star. A simple card becomes a greeting people like to keep.
  • As an Advent window decoration: hang several stars in different sizes on ribbons. From day one, your window tells of the run-up to Christmas.
  • Making money gifts: the star becomes a little stage for a note or coin. Lovingly wrapped instead of slipped into an envelope.
  • In a café, bakery or at a market stall: large stars of up to 50 cm in the shop window or on the counter create a seasonal display in just a few minutes. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you can decorate an entire shop in a uniform style.

Good to know about the star

The star is one of the oldest symbols of Christmas. According to tradition, the Star of Bethlehem showed the way to the manger. That is why it still adorns treetops, windows and cards today. An eight-pointed wooden star follows this tradition. It suits Advent and Christmas just as well as christenings, births and other occasions where you wish someone a lucky star.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Keep the star in a dry place and simply wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. As the back is untreated, avoid moisture. This keeps the light blue surface looking good for a long time, and you can enjoy your decorations for many years.

Frequently asked questions

Is the star suitable for crafting with children? Yes. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.

Are both sides light blue? No, only the front is glazed. The back is natural and untreated. It's ideal for painting or writing on.

Why does the star have a brown edge? The star is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. It also ensures smooth edges and a precise shape.

Do all stars look exactly the same? Wood is a purely natural material. Shade, grain and small knots can vary. This is exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.

How big is the star really? The selected height is measured from point to point. At a height of 10 cm, the star is also 10 cm wide.
