Wooden heart cutout – birch plywood, pear lacquer

Material & finish

The heart is laser cut from 3 mm birch plywood. This gives clean, precise outlines and smooth edges that don't fray. We lacquer the boards ourselves on both sides in the pear tone, in our own production in Pößneck. The water-based satin lacquer lets the grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural product. Colour and texture vary slightly, and small irregularities in the grain are normal. That is what makes every heart one of a kind – it is not a flaw.

Are the hearts lacquered on both sides? Yes, every heart is satin lacquered in pear on both sides. You can show either side, for example in hanging decorations.

Do all the hearts look the same? No. Wood is a natural material. Grain and shade vary slightly, and small knots are normal – every heart is one of a kind.
