Material & finish

The heart is made from 3 mm birch plywood. We laser-cut it in our own production in Pößneck and then lacquer it on both sides. The clear, water-based satin-matt lacquer protects the surface. At the same time, it lets the natural grain show through. You can still see and feel the wood under the lacquer. Differences in shade, fine textures and small knots are not flaws. They are what make each piece unique. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and accurate dimensions, even in small sizes.
