The heart is made of 3 mm birch plywood and cut with a laser. This gives smooth, clean edges and accurate shapes, so you can carry on crafting straight away. We lacquer the raw boards ourselves on both sides in chestnut, in our own production in Pößneck. The clear, satin-matt water-based lacquer lets the grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. It is never completely even. Some pieces are a little lighter, some darker, with small irregularities in the structure. That is exactly what makes every heart unique. It is not a flaw, it is character.

Is the heart really lacquered on both sides? Yes. Both sides are lacquered in chestnut and sealed with a clear satin-matt finish. So you can show the heart from either side, for example as a hanging decoration.

Does every heart look exactly the same? No. Wood is a natural material with varying shades, grain and small knots. This makes every heart one of a kind.

How does the height relate to the width? Height and width are the same. For example, if you choose a height of 10 cm, the heart is also 10 cm wide.
