We lacquer the birch plywood boards scarlet red on both sides ourselves. The clear, satin-matt water-based lacquer leaves the grain and small knots visible. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade and fine textures are part of it and make every piece one of a kind. That is not a flaw, it is character.
