Every hexagon is laser-cut from 3 mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck. It is then lacquered in colour on both sides by hand. The satin-matt, water-based lacquer lets the grain and small knots show through. This is not a flaw. It is the mark of a genuine natural material, and every piece is unique. The precise laser cut gives smooth edges and shapes that are accurate to size. This means several hexagons fit together into patterns without gaps.
