Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A blank wall in the hallway, a half-finished DIY project on the table – and the idea of turning it into something that's all yours. With the wooden hexagon in teak, you're holding a birch plywood cutout that feels as if it were made for your wall design: warm, brown-toned and with visible grain. Whether it's a single hexagon or a whole honeycomb pattern – you lay out, glue and combine until it suits your home.
What changes for you
- Your wall gains texture and warmth without any painting or wallpapering – a few hexagons in a honeycomb pattern are all it takes.
- You can carry on working without sanding or adjusting – because every hexagon is laser-cut, with smooth edges and precise dimensions.
- You can plan your project freely, from a small craft piece to large-scale wall decor – thanks to widths from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Your result looks lively rather than uniform – because the grain and small knots remain visible beneath the satin finish, making every piece unique.
- You don't have to choose a side – both surfaces are lacquered in teak, however you turn or hang the hexagon.
Why this wooden hexagon makes a difference every day
On its own, a hexagon is a calm, clear shape. Put several together and you get a pattern that guides the eye without cluttering the room. On a living room wall, above a chest of drawers or behind a shop counter, the arrangement puts the even grain of the teak veneer and the clean edges in the foreground. And because you can mix sizes freely, your design grows with your ideas.
Material & finish
The hexagon is made of 3 mm birch plywood. It is light enough to hang up and glue, yet keeps its shape. It is laser cut, so the edges are smooth and the dimensions precise. We lacquer the raw boards on both sides ourselves, in our own production in Pößneck. The water-based satin-matt lacquer lets the wood grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, texture and small irregularities in the grain vary slightly from piece to piece. This makes every hexagon unique and is not a defect.

How to use the hexagon
- For decorating: arrange several hexagons in different sizes into a honeycomb pattern on the wall. A bare surface becomes a textured wooden surface with a clearly visible pattern of gaps.
- Crafting: use the hexagon as a base for lettering, photos or small decorative pieces – the lacquer on both sides gives your project a finished look from the start.
- For special occasions: small hexagons become hanging decorations or table decor – and your guests will ask where you got them.
- In your business: whether café, shop or market stall – use the hexagons to label or decorate your counter and sales area in a consistent style, in sizes you can match exactly to your space thanks to the 1 cm increments.
Good to know about the hexagon
Nature shows the way: bees build their honeycombs as hexagons because this shape fits together without gaps. That's exactly why the hexagon works so well as wall decor – you place piece next to piece and the pattern comes together without any gaps, whether you're designing with three hexagons or thirty.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: an occasional dusting is enough to keep the satin surface looking good for a long time. As birch plywood is a natural material, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture – that way your hexagon stays stable and attractive.

Frequently asked questions
Why does each hexagon look slightly different? Wood is a natural material: brightness, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece – making every hexagon one of a kind.
Is the hexagon lacquered on both sides? Yes, both sides have a satin lacquer finish in teak, using water-based lacquer. The grain remains visible.
How tall is a hexagon with a width of 10 cm? The height is then approx. 8.7 cm – so you can plan your honeycomb pattern precisely in advance.
Do I need to finish the edges? No, the hexagon is laser-cut – the edges are smooth and the dimensions precise.
In the end, it isn't about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment you step back and your wall suddenly looks like you. Simply choose your size and quantity – and start creating.
