Why this wooden hexagon makes a difference day to day
A hexagon made of real birch plywood shows the grain and layers of the wood. Printed decorations can't offer that. Several hexagons on the wall form a pattern that draws attention yet stays understated. The hazelnut wood tone looks warm and earthy. It suits light and dark interiors alike – at home as well as at a shop counter or in a café.
Material & finish
The hexagon is made of 3 mm birch plywood. This makes it light but stable in your hand. Both sides are lacquered in hazelnut. The water-based satin lacquer lets the natural grain show through. Small knots and variations in shade are part of wood as a natural material. They are not a flaw – they are what makes your piece unique. Every wooden cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. This includes lacquering by hand in-house.

- At the craft table: stick on motifs, lettering or photos. The calm hazelnut tone lets your design stand out instead of competing with it.
- For family celebrations: write names or short messages on them and use them as place cards. Your guests find their seats and take a memento home.
- In a café or at a market stall: use labelled hexagons as price tags or to mark varieties. The counter looks tidy and consistent. Setting up in the morning is quick.
- In the shop: design a large hexagon up to 50 cm wide as a base for your logo or seasonal lettering. Place it where people can see it, without elaborate shop fittings.
Good to know about the hexagon
Most people know the hexagon from the honeycomb. It is one of the few shapes that fit together without any gaps. That is exactly why the hexagon works so well as wall decoration. You can start with just a few pieces and extend your honeycomb pattern bit by bit at any time.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Dust it occasionally with a dry cloth to keep the lacquered surface looking good for a long time. Avoid constant moisture, as plywood is a natural material. Store and hang it somewhere dry and you'll enjoy your hexagon for a long time.
