Material & finish

The hexagon is made of 3 mm birch plywood and cut using a laser-cutting process. This gives smooth edges and accurate shapes that feel pleasant to the touch and are easy to work with. We lacquer the raw sheets on both sides in dark walnut ourselves, in our own production in Pößneck. The clear, satin-finish water-based lacquer lets the grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade, small irregularities in the grain and knots are normal. They make every piece unique and are not a defect.

How to use the wooden hexagon
