The star is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. That is where the typical brown edge comes from, a sign of how each piece is made. The wine-red glaze on the front is applied evenly. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. This is not a flaw. It is simply what a natural material is like: every star turns out a little different, and each piece is one of a kind. The back stays natural, so you can decorate it however you like.
