So that you can rely on your writing board for years, we make it at Bütic in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is made from 3mm birch plywood: very sturdy, robust and neatly finished. The surface has two coats of tough water-based clear lacquer. This means it stands up well to daily use. Wood is a purely natural material. Lightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board. This makes every piece unique and is not a flaw. The grain can also run horizontally or vertically. We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. If you would like a particular grain direction, just send us a short message. This is possible by arrangement.

Good to know about birch plywood

Care & durability
