Material & finish

The clipboard is made from 3 mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck. It is neatly finished, very sturdy and robust. The rounded corners feel comfortable in your hand. Two coats of water-based clear varnish make the surface hard-wearing for daily use. Wood is a purely natural material. The grain may be lighter or darker, and small knots can occur. This makes every piece one of a kind and is not a defect. The grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the format you order. Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of veneer glued crosswise. This makes it much more dimensionally stable than a solid wood board of the same thickness. That's why this clipboard can stay pleasantly light at just 3 mm and still give you a firm, reliable writing surface.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe the varnished surface with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way your wooden clipboard keeps its fresh colour and smooth surface for a long time.

Why does the grain sometimes run lengthways and sometimes across? We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste, so the grain direction can vary. A preferred direction is possible after a quick chat with us.

Does every clipboard look the same? No. Wood is a natural material with varying shades, fine textures and the occasional small knot. Every board is one of a kind.
