It is smooth, so your pen glides cleanly across the paper. Every board is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, with a clean finish right down to the rounded corners. Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board, so every piece is one of a kind. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of wood glued crosswise. This makes it more stable and less prone to warping than a solid wood board of the same thickness. That's why a thickness of just 3 mm is enough here. The clipboard stays pleasantly light and still gives you a firm surface, even if you carry it around all day.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear lacquer seal, you simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. It's best to avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way the red surface stays evenly bold for a long time.

Why does my board look a little different from the photo? Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary. This is not a defect – it makes your clipboard unique.

Which way does the grain run? Horizontally or vertically depending on the cut, regardless of the format you order. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement. Just send us a message.

Is the writing surface protected? The board is sealed twice with tough water-based clear lacquer. The smooth surface works as a firm writing base and is easy to wipe clean.
