The board is made from 3mm birch plywood. It is very sturdy and robust, yet pleasantly light in your hand. Two coats of water-based clear lacquer protect the surface in daily use. Every clipboard is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia, and carefully finished. Wood is a purely natural material. The grain may turn out lighter or darker, and small knots may appear. This makes each piece one of a kind and is not a defect.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of wood glued crosswise. This makes it much more dimensionally stable and less prone to warping than a solid wood board of the same thickness. That is why a thickness of just 3mm is enough for the clipboard. It stays light to carry and still does not give way when you write.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Simply wipe the sealed surface with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way your wooden clipboard keeps its fresh turquoise look for a long time.

Which way does the wood grain run? The grain can run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the size you order – we optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement; just send us a short message.

Why does my clipboard not look exactly like the picture? Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board, so every piece is one of a kind.

Can I hang up the clipboard? Yes, the board has two eyelets. You can use them to hang it on the wall, for example as a menu holder or notice board.

Which clip suits me? You can choose between a metal spring clip and a wire clip in 7 colours. Some versions are optionally available with a pen holder, so your pen is always at hand.

Is the surface protected? Yes, the board is sealed twice with durable water-based clear lacquer and stands up to daily use.
