Material & finish

The clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is cut from 3 mm birch plywood, which is very sturdy and robust despite its slim build. The surface is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear lacquer. It is smooth, pleasant to hold and stands up well to everyday use. The rounded corners and clean finish mean nothing catches or scratches. Wood is a natural material. Small differences in shade and grain as well as fine knots are normal. This makes every board one of a kind.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made by gluing several thin layers of wood crosswise to each other. This keeps the board dimensionally stable. It warps much less than solid wood of the same thickness. That's why this clipboard can be so light and so sturdy at just 3 mm. It's easy to carry and firm enough to write on while standing.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the double clear lacquer seal, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid prolonged wetness and harsh cleaning products. That way the surface keeps its warm, well-kept tone for a long time.

Which way does the grain run? The grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the size you order. This helps us avoid unnecessary waste. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement. Just send us a short message.

Can the surface be wiped clean? Yes. The board has two coats of hard-wearing water-based clear lacquer and can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.

Why does my board look slightly different from the photo? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from board to board. Every piece is one of a kind.

Which clip is right for me? The metal spring clip grips firmly and holds thicker stacks too. The wire clip is flatter and more discreet. Some versions also come with a pen holder, so your pen is always to hand.
