Material & finish
The wooden clipboard is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck. It is made from 3mm birch plywood, which is very sturdy and robust despite being so thin. The double seal of water-based clear varnish protects the surface in daily use. It also gives you a smooth feel when writing. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade, small knots and slight irregularities in the grain are normal. They make every board one of a kind and are not a defect.

Can I choose the direction of the grain? The grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the size you order. We optimise our cutouts to avoid waste. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement. Just send us a short message.
How robust is the clipboard at only 3mm thick? Birch plywood is made of layers glued crosswise. This makes it very sturdy and robust, even in daily use.
Does every board look the same? No. Wood is a natural material with different shades, fine textures and small knots. This makes every clipboard one of a kind.
Which clips can I choose from? You can choose between a metal spring clip and a wire clip. Some versions are optionally available with a pen holder. Each comes in eight colours, from silver to copper.
