It is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear lacquer, so it copes well with frequent handling. Every clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The finish is clean right into the rounded corners. Wood is a natural material. Small differences in shade and grain as well as fine knots are normal. They make each piece one of a kind, not faulty.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood consists of several veneer layers glued crosswise. This makes it more dimensionally stable than a solid wood board of the same thickness. That's why this clipboard only needs to be 3 mm thick. It is light to carry and store, but firm enough to write on.
